Sesimbra and Algarve
From Porto, the plan was then to drive to Lisbon and stay there for a couple of days. As always, I booked a hotel ahead of time. However, as we drove into
Lisbon and navigated to the Hotel's street address, we did not find a hotel at all. It turned out that the hotel I had booked was not the SANA Sesimbra
Hotel in Lisbon but the SANA Sesimbra Hotel in Sesimbra. Ooops! We had to consult the map to figure out if Sesimbra was at least in the vicinity of Lisbon
or in a totally different corner of the country. Luckily, it turned out to be about 40km south of Lisbon right on the ocean. Not quite what we had planned
but a beautiful place to spend a few days nonetheless.
